About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered who’s behind the crucial work of making sure everyone gets home safe from work each day? As a Health and Safety Trainer, you’re more than just a policy enforcer — you’re a guide, an educator, and a force for workplace well-being. If you get excited about taking regulations off the page and bringing them to life, this opportunity gives you a front-row seat (and microphone) to shape a culture where safety really does come first.
About the Company
At SafePath Solutions, we like to say we’re big enough to support hundreds of client sites, but nimble enough that every safety voice is heard. Our team is a mix of seasoned pros and enthusiastic younger talent, all drawn together by a shared passion for protecting people and improving systems. We celebrate wins with everything from shout-outs at team meetings to (the not-so-secret) annual chili cookoff. Growth here isn’t a buzzword — it’s a real, rolling process, fueled by knowledge-sharing and plenty of hands-on collaboration.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and update training materials that make complex safety protocols clear, memorable, and relevant for every employee.
- Lead engaging, interactive training sessions both in-person and online — think less “lecture,” more “what would you do?” scenario-building.
- Conduct site visits to perform risk assessments, spotting new hazards and helping teams adapt quickly.
- Carry out periodic safety audits, collaborating with operations to address gaps and celebrate outstanding practices.
- Maintain comprehensive employee training records and certification tracking, keeping data organized and ready for compliance checks.
- Serve as the go-to resource for questions about regulations, safe practices, and incident procedures.
- Partner with supervisors to tailor safety programming for unique operational needs (from bustling warehouses to cozy offices).
- Keep your own knowledge sharp by staying current on industry trends and emerging compliance rules — and sharing insights with the wider team.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) or a directly related field.
- Recognized industry certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
- Real-world experience delivering training or coaching in a safety-sensitive environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — you know how to break concepts down and make them stick.
- Keen attention to detail, especially when it comes to documentation and recordkeeping.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or another high-compliance sector.
- Proficiency with digital training platforms or learning management systems.
- Energy and creativity — maybe you’ve designed your own training games, videos, or interactive exercises.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary with annual performance reviews.
- Flexible hybrid work options — balance field visits with days at your preferred workspace.
- Generous paid time off, plus a yearly volunteering day.
- Healthcare, dental, and wellness benefits that go beyond checklists.
- Ongoing professional development (certification support and conference budgets aren’t just a wishlist item here).
- A team that genuinely cares—about you, about safety, about getting better together.
You’ll join a workplace where your impact is visible and valued—where even the quietest safety win gets celebrated, and your ideas for tomorrow’s training can become policy by next quarter. We’re ready when you are.
