About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever find yourself dismantling a machine just to see how it ticks? If the hum of engines and the challenge of diagnostics get your gears turning, this might be your next workshop. We’re looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic specializing in JCB machines, Bobcats, and generators—someone who thrives on hands-on problem solving and takes pride in keeping vital machinery humming smoothly. Based in the heart of Business Bay, Dubai, this is a role for builders, tinkerers, and solution-seekers who want to leave their mark on the backbone of the city’s ever-growing skyline.
About the Company
Our team isn’t just about nuts, bolts, and blueprints. We’re a close-knit crew in one of Dubai’s top construction companies, where progress is part of our DNA and every day brings a new challenge. We believe maintenance is more than a checklist—it’s the pulse of every successful project. The team? Think practical jokers who know their way around both a wrench and a coffee machine, and who swap stories from the field over impromptu lunches in our Business Bay base. We’re expanding, and you’ll be at the center of it all.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of JCB machines, ensuring downtime is minimal and efficiency is maximized
- Diagnosing issues and repairing Bobcat loaders and equipment—whether electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, and fixing both diesel and petrol generators to keep our site operations running smoothly
- Tracking and documenting all repairs, spare parts, and service history for each machine
- Collaborating with operators to identify recurring issues or potential improvement areas
- Responding quickly to breakdowns—because when a digger’s stuck, every minute matters
- Keeping your workspace and tools organized, safe, and ready for anything the day throws your way
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Solid hands-on experience servicing JCB machines and Bobcat equipment
- In-depth knowledge of generator repair and maintenance (diesel & petrol)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities—you don’t give up at the first sign of trouble
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Comfort working independently and as part of a diverse, multicultural team
- Flexible approach—happy to respond to urgent fixes when needed
Nice-to-Haves:
- Formal technical/vocational certification in heavy equipment maintenance
- Experience with other types of construction machinery a bonus
- UAE driving license
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary with overtime opportunities
- Modern, safe workspace right in busy Business Bay—close to everything
- Supportive team atmosphere where questions are welcomed and learning never stops
- Exposure to a wide range of machinery and technology—no two days are the same
- Opportunities for professional training and career development
- Annual leave, public holidays, and company-sponsored wellness initiatives
You’ll join a team that understands the value of your expertise and who treats each project (and person) with care. Here, you’re not just another mechanic—you’re the reason our projects succeed.
