About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever thought about how much difference a committed Health and Safety Officer can make? We’re looking for someone who believes safety isn’t just a checklist — it’s a culture. As our HSE Officer, you’ll take a lead role ensuring every site, process, and person operates at their very best. If you thrive on making environments safer and keeping teams well-informed, this might just be the meaningful next step you’ve been searching for.
About the Company
Here, safety isn’t an afterthought — it’s at the heart of what we do. We’re a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary company operating across the UAE, known for blending innovation with a hands-on, supportive culture. You’ll join a team that’s serious about growth (both company-wide and personal) but never takes itself too seriously. Expect a place where collaboration trumps hierarchy, and yes, we do take our coffee breaks pretty seriously — because recharging matters.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out regular site inspections and risk assessments to make sure everything (and everyone) stays safe
- Running engaging safety training sessions — making sure compliance doesn’t feel like a snoozefest
- Investigating incidents and near-misses, then translating lessons learned into better protocols
- Developing and updating health and safety policies in line with UAE regulations and best practices
- Preparing clear, concise reports to share insights and keep the team — and leadership — in the loop
- Collaborating with site managers and engineers to flag potential hazards early, finding proactive solutions together
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation for audits and client requirements
- Acting as a friendly, approachable go-to for all HSE matters, at every level of the company
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Engineering (or an equivalent, UAE-recognized qualification)
- At least 3 years of hands-on HSE experience if you’ve got a Bachelor’s; 5 years for Diploma holders
- Professional HSE training (NEBOSH Certificate or OSHAD Approved Practitioner status)
- Working knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations
- Solid communication — you make safety accessible to everyone, not just the experts
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in our specific sector (construction, facilities management, energy, or similar)
- Additional certifications in fire safety, first aid, or risk management
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary and regular performance reviews — your hard work really does get noticed
- Clear, structured career growth pathways; we love promoting from within
- Support for ongoing professional development — from more advanced certifications to short workshops
- A team that supports each other (no “lone wolves” here)
- Flexible work arrangements (including some remote options for the right tasks)
- Regular team meetups, wellness initiatives, and the all-important birthday treats
We’re passionate about building a genuinely safe, supportive place to work — one where you can grow your skills and your impact, every single day. If you want your expertise to actually shape a thriving safety culture, we can’t wait to meet you.
