Salary: Negotiable

Category: Sales-And-Marketing | Job Id: 7766

About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Are you someone who can juggle a dozen details without breaking a sweat—and actually find it fun? If you love seeing a memorable event come to life and know that corporate gatherings can be both productive and enjoyable, you might be the In-House Event Organizer we’re searching for. This is more than checking off logistics; it’s your chance to turn everyday meetings into something memorable, weaving connection and excitement into the workspace. Ready to make an impact where people notice? Let’s talk.

About the Company

We’re a spirited bunch with a knack for collaboration, creativity, and celebrating each other’s wins (big or small). Our open office hums with the kind of energy that only comes from passionate people doing great work together. We’re at a stage of growth where fresh ideas are valued and every team member—no matter their title—makes a visible impact. Expect a team that loves brainstorming wacky themed socials as much as brainstorming business solutions, and where a well-planned breakfast meeting can be the highlight of the month.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing, planning, and executing a variety of in-house events: think all-hands meetings, interactive workshops, and company celebrations.
  • Coordinating logistics down to the smallest details—room setup, tech needs, catering menus, and post-event clean-up (yes, someone has to remember the napkins).
  • Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure everyone’s on the same page—and smiling.
  • Managing budgets: maximizing the wow factor without blowing the spreadsheet.
  • Crafting event timelines and run-of-show scripts, so everyone knows what’s happening and when.
  • Collecting feedback and insights after each event to make the next one even better.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Prior experience organizing corporate events, meetings, or large gatherings (in-house preferred, but agency/venue backgrounds welcome).
  • Exceptional attention to detail—you spot the missing chair before anyone else does.
  • Strong multitasking abilities; you can pivot smoothly between planning, communicating, and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, timelines, and vendor contracts.
  • Friendly, persuasive communicator who builds relationships easily—whether that’s with your team or a new caterer.
  • A cool head under pressure (because sometimes the AV cable really does go missing at the last minute).

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with event management tools or project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana, Cvent).
  • A creative touch for adding special flair to company gatherings (DIY décor, theme ideas, playlist curation).
  • Experience handling remote or hybrid event formats.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Flexible hybrid work options for planning and prep days
  • Generous PTO and company-wide holidays—your downtime matters too
  • Budget and encouragement to try new event ideas (themed potlucks or quiet wellness retreats? You decide)
  • Tight-knit team that genuinely supports each other
  • Opportunities for professional development—conferences, certifications, or skill workshops
  • Light-filled workspace and a kitchen fully stocked for hosting (and sampling!) your creations

We don’t just talk about team culture—we live it at every gathering, big or small. If you want to craft experiences that people remember and work somewhere you’re valued for what you bring, this is the place for you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through how you’ve planned and executed a memorable corporate event from start to finish? What steps did you take to ensure everything ran smoothly?
  • When managing competing priorities—like finalizing a catering order while handling last-minute tech issues—how do you stay organized and keep stress levels low?
  • Tell us about a time when an unexpected problem (like a missing AV cable or venue hiccup) threatened an event. How did you handle it, and what was the outcome?
  • What strategies do you use to maximize impact while staying within a set budget? Can you share a time you got creative to stretch your event dollars?
  • How do you approach gathering and leveraging event feedback to make improvements for future events?
  • Can you describe your experience working with event management software or project management tools? Which tools have you found most helpful, and why?
  • How do you keep multiple vendors, stakeholders, and team members aligned and engaged throughout the planning process?
  • Describe a situation where you needed to persuade others to embrace a new or unusual event idea. What worked, and what did you learn?
  • Have you ever managed hybrid or remote event formats? What unique challenges did you face, and how did you ensure engagement for all participants?
  • Our team is known for energy and creativity—how would you bring your own personality and flair to our company gatherings?
  • How do you foster a sense of inclusion and connection at company events for people from all parts of the organization?
  • What does a supportive, collaborative culture mean to you, and how do you contribute to that in your workplace?
  • Given our value of trying new ideas, can you share an example of a bold theme or activity you’ve introduced at a past event? How did participants react?
