About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever pictured yourself shaping spaces that leave a lasting impression from the moment someone walks in? If you’re an Interior Designer who thrives on creativity, technical precision, and hands-on collaboration, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. Our consultant office, right in the heart of Madinat Al Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, is searching for a talented designer ready to bring dynamic ideas and practical expertise to our fast-growing firm. Here, you won’t just chase trends—you’ll help set the tone for some of Abu Dhabi’s most inspiring interiors.

About the Company

We’re a close-knit team of problem-solvers, designers, and visionaries who believe that good design isn’t just seen, it’s experienced. Our consultancy was born from a passion for turning ambitious concepts into everyday realities—whether that’s a serene residential retreat or a standout commercial space. And while our projects are driven by deadlines, our culture is shaped by curiosity and camaraderie (and yes, we take our coffee just as seriously as our floorplans). Friday brainstorms might involve mood boards and material samples scattered across the table, but that’s just how we like it—a little bit creative chaos, a lot of teamwork.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop compelling concept designs that wow both the team and our clients—think original ideas, not cookie-cutter solutions.
  • Produce top-tier photorealistic CGIs to bring these visions to life before the first wall is ever built.
  • Curate thoughtful material selections and assemble comprehensive mood boards that inspire.
  • Prepare implementation shop drawings and full-detail packages to guide our contractors smoothly from vision to reality.
  • Conduct on-site checks, meticulous inspections, and punch list reviews—ensuring everything lives up to our shared standard of quality.
  • Coordinate closely with clients, suppliers, and contractors, keeping everyone aligned and projects running smoothly.
  • Jump into team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and the occasional on-site trouble-shooting adventure—no two days are quite the same.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience crafting interior concepts (and a portfolio you’re excited to share).
  • Mastery of tools like AutoCAD, 3ds Max (or similar), and Adobe Creative Suite—bonus points for Revit or SketchUp too.
  • A natural eye for material selection and mood boarding—translating ideas into tangible palettes and textures.
  • The ability to produce detailed shop drawings and packages that leave no question unanswered.
  • Comfortable making site visits in Abu Dhabi, doing real-time checks, and collaborating with contractors.
  • Strong communication skills—you know when to take the lead, when to listen, and how to keep the conversation moving.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive UAE compensation and steady opportunities to grow with us.
  • A genuinely collaborative, low-ego team—your ideas will be heard and valued.
  • Hybrid work possibilities: balance focused office days with time on-site and occasional flexibility.
  • Access to inspiring projects across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.
  • Ongoing training and mentorship—you’ll never stop learning here.
  • Regular team hangouts, feedback sessions, and a supportive work environment.

We’re passionate about what we do—and we’re looking for someone who feels the same. If you want to see your ideas transform from sketches to showpieces, you’ll find yourself right at home.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through a project in your portfolio where you developed an original concept design that truly set the tone for the space? What was your creative process like?
  • How do you approach producing photorealistic CGIs, and which software tools are your go-to for bringing your designs to life before construction begins?
  • Describe your process for selecting materials and assembling mood boards. How do you ensure that your choices reflect both the client’s preferences and the project’s unique vision?
  • What steps do you take when preparing shop drawings and full-detail packages for contractors? Can you share a time when your technical documentation resolved a potential issue on-site?
  • On-site inspections can reveal unexpected challenges. Tell me about a time when you had to troubleshoot a design issue during a site visit—what was the situation and how did you address it?
  • Communication with clients, suppliers, and contractors is crucial. How do you keep multiple stakeholders aligned and focused throughout the design and implementation process?
  • Imagine a client keeps requesting changes late in the design process. How would you balance their feedback with project deadlines and your own creative integrity?
  • Share an experience where collaborative teamwork led to a breakthrough idea or solution during a project. What role did you play in the process?
  • How do you stay inspired and up to date with design trends while avoiding “cookie-cutter” solutions in your projects?
  • Our team culture values curiosity, feedback, and a genuinely collaborative spirit. What does teamwork mean to you in a creative environment, and how do you contribute to it?
  • The fast-paced nature of this role means handling shifting priorities and last-minute requests. How do you stay organized and maintain high-quality output under pressure?
  • What motivates you to work in interior design, and why do you feel most at home in a consultancy setting rather than, say, a larger firm or an independent practice?
  • Tell us about a time you took the lead in a team meeting or brainstorming session. How did you help move the group
