About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what keeps a monumental construction project not just standing, but truly enduring? As a QA/QC Engineer (Civil) with our growing UAE team, you’ll be the critical eye and steady hand ensuring our projects meet—and often exceed—the highest standards of quality and compliance. If you’re looking to put your technical expertise to work in a team where your attention to detail is appreciated and your input really matters, this could be your next move.

About the Company

We’re not just about concrete and steel—we’re about building a reputation in the UAE construction industry for doing things right. From innovative mixed-use developments to precisely engineered infrastructure, our work speaks for itself. Our crew is a lively mix of seasoned veterans and ambitious up-and-comers, all pulling in the same direction. Morning site walks, team lunch runs, and the occasional victory celebration when a big milestone is hit: that’s our rhythm. Precision, accountability, and a little bit of laughter get us through the day.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out routine inspections across various project stages, ensuring construction works and materials comply with project specifications and international quality standards.
  • Supervising and verifying site tests, material sampling, and laboratory analysis—making sure every cube, bar, and batch tells the true story.
  • Preparing detailed quality assurance documentation and reports, from NCRs to weekly progress updates, that keep everyone—from your teammates to external auditors—in the loop.
  • Collaborating closely with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to resolve emerging quality issues quickly and with professionalism.
  • Assisting in internal and external audits—always ready to answer the tough questions with data and a smile.
  • Keeping up to date with evolving UAE regulations, ensuring our projects stay compliant and ahead of the curve.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on QA/QC experience within the UAE construction sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction materials, quality standards, and testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with local UAE construction regulations, codes, and documentation requirements.
  • An eye for detail, a collaborative spirit, and a real sense of accountability.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with ISO 9001 or other internationally recognized quality systems.
  • Proficiency in QA/QC software or site management tools.
  • Arabic language skills.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary, paid on time (every time).
  • Health insurance and annual leave—so you’re looked after on and off site.
  • Supportive team culture, where sharing knowledge isn’t just encouraged—it’s expected.
  • Clear opportunities for career progression and exposure to a variety of high-profile projects.
  • Occasional team breakfasts, knowledge-sharing sessions, and Friday “wrap-up” coffee breaks.

We believe quality should never be negotiable, and neither should your career satisfaction. Here, you’ll be surrounded by people who care as much as you do about getting things right the first time—and who recognize when you do.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk me through your process for conducting quality inspections on a civil construction site? What are the main steps you always follow?
  • How do you ensure that all materials and construction activities comply with both project specifications and relevant UAE quality standards?
  • Describe a time when you identified a deviation from quality standards on-site. How did you handle it, and what was the outcome?
  • What experience do you have preparing and maintaining documentation such as NCRs or weekly QA/QC reports? Which details do you prioritize in your reports?
  • How familiar are you with the latest UAE regulations and codes for the construction industry, and how do you keep your knowledge up to date?
  • Tell us about your experience working with ISO 9001 or other formal quality management systems. How did these influence your approach to quality assurance?
  • Give an example of a challenging collaboration you had with a subcontractor or site engineer regarding a quality issue. How did you achieve a resolution?
  • Have you ever supported an internal or external QA/QC audit? What steps did you take to ensure your team was prepared?
  • How do you balance meticulous attention to detail with the need to meet project deadlines?
  • In our team, open communication and sharing knowledge are part of daily life. Can you share a time you helped a colleague troubleshoot a quality-related issue?
  • When routines get stressful or unexpected quality issues pile up, how do you keep your focus and maintain a positive outlook?
  • What quality management or site supervision software tools are you most comfortable with, and how have they improved your workflow?
  • Our company values both professionalism and camaraderie. How do you contribute to a supportive team culture, especially under the pressure of major project milestones?
  • Why do you think quality should never be negotiable in civil engineering, and how do you communicate this standard to those you work with?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 7,000–10,000 AED per month for a QA/QC Engineer (Civil) with 2–3 years of UAE experience, as similar roles in the local construction industry typically fall within this range. Larger or well-established firms may offer towards the higher end, especially if you bring experience with ISO systems or strong local regulatory knowledge. Always consider negotiations for additional benefits like annual flight allowances and family health coverage, as these are often part of the overall package in this sector.
