About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever found yourself thriving at the crossroads of technical detail and big-picture quality? As a QA/QC Engineer (or Technical Engineer), you’ll be right at the heart of what keeps ambitious projects running smoothly. This role isn’t just paperwork — it’s ownership of the process that stands behind every successful build or system. If you enjoy transforming technical requirements into organized actions (and secretly love a well-structured document), you’re exactly who we want to talk to.

About the Company

We’re a close-knit team with a knack for taking on complex engineering challenges — and seeing them through. Our projects range from ambitious new developments to thoughtful upgrades for long-standing clients. Around here, flexibility and accountability matter as much as the final product. You’ll often find teammates sharing quick brainstorms over coffee, and we’re the type who take small wins (and good snacks) seriously. There's a lot going on, but we're growing together, celebrating milestones large and small.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare, review, and submit PQ (Pre-Qualification), MS (Method Statement), and MAS (Material Approval Submittal) documents to consultants.
  • Track consultant feedback — you’ll be the friendly (but persistent) follow-up, ensuring documents move from “reviewed” to “approved.”
  • Liaise with suppliers and site teams to collect technical specs, product data sheets, certification, and anything else needed for documentation.
  • Scrutinize every document and material to make sure everything is aligned with project specifications, standards, and approved procedures.
  • Maintain a detailed, organized library of all technical submissions, comments, and approvals. You know exactly where everything lives (and love helping teammates find it).
  • Spot and resolve any gaps or mismatches in project requirements and documentation before they become problems onsite.

What You’ll Bring

  • Background in engineering, construction, or a related technical discipline (degree preferred, but solid experience is equally valued)
  • Experience preparing and submitting PQ, MS, and MAS documents for engineering or construction projects
  • Strong organization skills — you can wrangle a mountain of specs and paperwork with clarity and calm
  • Great communication chops: you’re comfortable coordinating between consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Attention to detail that others can rely on
  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Experience with document management systems (DMS) or relevant software tools
    • Previous work on large-scale projects or fast-paced project teams
    • Familiarity with local codes, standards, and approval processes

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Supportive team environment where your input genuinely shapes outcomes
  • Flexible work arrangements — when possible, we value results over rigid schedules
  • Opportunities to work on high-impact, visible projects with room to grow
  • Continuous learning (formally and informally — our team loves to share new tricks or shortcuts)
  • Competitive compensation, plus recognition for both effort and accomplishment
  • Casual culture with regular team gatherings, lunches, and milestone celebrations

We’re building something special together — an environment where technical minds can make a real impact without losing sight of balance and connection. If you’re ready to bring your attention to detail to a team that will truly appreciate it, let’s talk.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you describe your process for preparing and submitting PQ, MS, and MAS documents? What tools or templates do you rely on to stay organized?
  • Tell us about a time you successfully resolved a discrepancy between a project’s technical requirements and the supplied documentation or materials.
  • When following up with consultants on pending document approvals, how do you maintain a balance between persistence and professionalism?
  • What experience do you have coordinating with suppliers and site teams to gather technical specs and certifications? How do you ensure nothing is overlooked?
  • Have you used any document management systems (DMS) in previous roles? If so, which ones, and how did they help improve your workflow?
  • Share an example of how your attention to detail made a significant impact on a project’s quality or timeline.
  • When faced with multiple competing deadlines for technical submittals, how do you prioritize tasks and communicate with stakeholders?
  • Imagine you discover partway into a project that some submitted materials don’t fully align with consultant feedback. How would you handle this situation?
  • How familiar are you with local engineering/construction codes and approval processes? Can you give an example of applying this knowledge in your work?
  • Can you tell us about a moment when you helped a teammate or cross-functional partner find exactly the information or document they needed?
  • Our team values both big-picture thinking and careful attention to every technical detail — what strategies do you use to keep both in focus during a fast-paced project?
  • How do you handle situations where feedback from consultants seems unclear or contradictory?
  • We’re a team that celebrates progress together, big or small. How do you contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment?
  • What does flexibility at work look like to you, and how do you ensure you deliver results while balancing autonomy?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

For a QA/QC Engineer or Technical Engineer position in the UAE construction or engineering sector, you should expect a monthly salary in the range of 7,000–12,000 AED, depending on your level of experience and the size of the projects you’ve handled. Candidates with strong documentation skills and experience in PQ, MS, and MAS submissions—especially within reputable firms or on large projects—may command salaries toward the higher end of this range. Negotiating within these figures is reasonable for mid-level professionals, and be sure to factor in additional benefits like health insurance or annual leave that are common in the UAE.
