About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it takes to keep large-scale metal fabrication projects on time and on budget? As our newest Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be at the heart of just that. This isn’t your average number-crunching job: here, your expertise keeps the factory floor humming and the project team two steps ahead. If you know your way around a drawing set as well as a budget sheet—and enjoy seeing big plans come together—this might be a uniquely satisfying next step.
About the Company
We’re a tight-knit team based in Al Qusais, known for turning out high-quality metalwork across Dubai and beyond. Our shop floor buzzes with collaboration, a sense of daily accomplishment, and, yes, the odd debate about who brings the best karak. While we’re seasoned in our field, we embrace new ideas and fresh energy—especially from folks who know the unique pace of the Emirates’ industrial sector. Growth here is steady, teamwork is real, and there’s plenty of room to put your own mark on the process.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing detailed, reliable cost estimates and budgets for metal fabrication projects
- Working closely with engineers and project managers to review technical drawings, verify material take-offs, and flag potential issues before fabrication even begins
- Tracking project expenses throughout execution—catching overruns or savings and reporting them honestly
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to lock in both price and quality (we value win-win deals more than rock-bottom bargains)
- Liaising with our project and factory teams daily—you’re the cost ambassador on the shop floor and often the calm voice in the meeting room
- Recommending ways to enhance cost efficiency, both for the current job and future ones
