About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Ever wonder what it’s really like to be the heartbeat of a busy dining room? If you thrive on fast-paced environments and genuinely enjoy making people’s day a little better with great service, this could be your perfect fit. We’re on the lookout for friendly, energetic Waiters, Waitresses, Kitchen Helpers, and Cashiers to join our growing F&B team in the UAE. It’s not just about taking orders — it’s about creating moments that bring guests back again and again.

About the Company

We’re a well-established hospitality group with a reputation for warm hospitality and seriously good food. Our kitchens are always buzzing, our dining floors are always lively, and our team? They’re like family. We believe that happy staff create happy guests, so we invest in our people, celebrate wins together, and keep the energy positive from opening to closing time.

Whether you’re just starting your hospitality journey or looking to grow your career in the region, this is a place where hard work gets noticed and dedication is rewarded. We’re not a faceless corporation — we’re a team that looks out for each other, and we’d love for you to be part of that.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Greeting guests warmly as they arrive and guiding them to their tables with a smile
  • Taking food and beverage orders accurately, and relaying them to the kitchen without missing a beat
  • Serving meals and drinks promptly, making sure every plate looks as good as it tastes
  • Checking back with guests during their meal to ensure everything is to their satisfaction — and jumping in to fix any issues right away
  • Preparing and presenting bills at the end of each table’s meal, handling cash and card payments smoothly
  • Supporting the team during rush hours — whether that’s clearing tables, refilling water glasses, or lending a hand in the kitchen
  • Keeping your section clean, tidy, and fully stocked at all times
  • For kitchen helpers: assisting with food prep, dishwashing, and maintaining a spotless kitchen environment
  • For cashiers: managing the POS system, balancing the till, and ensuring accurate transactions throughout your shift

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • A positive, can-do attitude that shines through even during the busiest rushes
  • Strong communication skills — you’re comfortable speaking with guests and working closely with your team
  • The ability to stand for long periods and move quickly when needed
  • Basic math skills for handling bills and cash transactions accurately
  • A presentable appearance and a genuine love for customer service
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel — but honestly, if you’re eager to learn, we’ll train you
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Basic English language skills — we’ll help you polish them further

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. Attitude matters more to us than experience.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary of AED 2,500 plus overtime pay — your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed
  • Free food and accommodation — one less thing to worry about while you focus on building your career
  • Overtime opportunities to boost your monthly earnings
  • A supportive team culture where everyone pitches in and looks out for each other
  • Room to grow — we promote from within whenever possible, and many of our supervisors and managers started right where you’d be starting
  • A safe, respectful workplace where your contributions are truly valued

At the end of the day, this is more than just a job — it’s a chance to be part of something bigger, to learn new skills, and to be appreciated for the work you do. If that sounds like the kind of environment you’ve been looking for, we’d love to meet you.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Walk me through how you’d handle a table of eight that all arrives at once during a weekend rush, with three of them asking for separate bills at the end. How do you keep everything accurate and the guests happy?
  • Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult or unhappy customer. What was the situation, and how did you turn it around?
  • If a guest tells you their food is cold or not cooked the way they ordered, what’s your immediate reaction and what steps do you take to fix it?
  • How do you prioritize when you’ve got three tables flagging you down at the same time, the kitchen is calling for pickup, and you still haven’t greeted the new party that just walked in?
  • What does “great service” mean to you beyond just bringing food to the table? Give me an example of a small touch that made a guest’s experience memorable.
  • How comfortable are you with handling cash and card payments, and what’s your process for making sure the till balances at the end of your shift?
  • For someone who’s never worked in a restaurant before, what makes you confident you can keep up with the pace and learn the flow quickly?
  • Describe a time you worked as part of a team to get through a busy shift. What was your role, and how did you support your coworkers?
  • How do you stay positive and keep your energy up when you’re on your feet for hours and the restaurant is completely packed?
  • If you saw a coworker struggling to keep up during a rush, would you step in without being asked? Why or why not?
  • What does it mean to you to be part of a team that “looks out for each other,” and how have you shown that in past jobs or even outside of work?
  • Why are you interested in joining a hospitality team in the UAE, and what do you hope to learn or achieve in this role?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

The base salary of AED 2,500, paired with overtime pay, offers a realistic opportunity to boost your overall earnings while you gain valuable experience in a supportive, growth-oriented team environment. This is a common and practical offer for entry-level positions in the region, making it an excellent stepping stone for building a long-term career in the industry.
