About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Ever wondered what it’s like to be at the front line of the UAE’s booming business landscape? This isn’t your typical 9-to-5 sales gig. We’re Wealthub, a fast-growing professional services firm in Dubai, and we’re looking for a Sales Executive & Business Development professional who’s ready to make a real impact. You’ll be helping entrepreneurs and established companies navigate the sometimes-confusing world of company formation, corporate tax, and compliance — and honestly, there’s never a dull moment when you’re helping someone launch their dream in the Middle East.
If you’re the kind of person who gets a kick out of closing a deal and genuinely enjoys problem-solving for clients, this role offers a unique blend of consultative selling and real-world business advisory. It’s a chance to grow with a young, ambitious firm that’s already making waves across Free Zone, mainland, DIFC, and offshore structures.
About the Company
Wealthub isn’t just another consultancy — we’re a team of finance and legal experts who decided to build something better. Established in 2024, we’re young, hungry, and refreshingly hands-on. We specialise in a full spectrum of services: audit, accounting, VAT and UAE Corporate Tax advisory, business setup, IFRS reporting, bookkeeping, and financial advisory. But here’s the thing — we don’t just process paperwork. We partner with our clients to understand their goals, then guide them through the complexities of the UAE’s regulatory environment with clarity and confidence.
Our office buzzes with energy. It’s the kind of place where ideas are thrown around freely, and no one’s afraid to roll up their sleeves. Whether it’s brainstorming a client’s offshore structure over coffee or celebrating a new company formation, there’s a genuine sense of camaraderie here. We’re not a faceless corporation; we’re a team that celebrates wins together and learns from the occasional setback. And because we’re growing, every team member’s contribution genuinely shapes where we’re headed.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role is all about building relationships and driving new business — but it’s so much more than just making calls. Here’s a taste of what your day-to-day might look like:
- Prospecting and lead generation: You’ll identify and reach out to potential clients — from startups looking to establish in a Free Zone to established companies needing corporate tax advice. This means leveraging LinkedIn, networking events, referrals, and sometimes old-school cold calling (yes, it still works!).
- Consultative selling: This isn’t about pushing a one-size-fits-all package. You’ll listen to each client’s needs, understand their business model, and tailor our services — whether that’s audit, VAT compliance, bookkeeping, or full business setup — to match their situation.
- Managing the full sales cycle: From the first introductory call to drafting proposals, negotiating terms, and closing the deal, you’ll own the process. You’ll also coordinate with our internal team of accountants and advisors to ensure seamless handovers.
- Building a pipeline: You’ll maintain a healthy CRM (we use a simple, effective system) and keep your pipeline updated with accurate forecasts. It’s not just about closing this month; it’s about building a sustainable flow of opportunities.
- Market intelligence: You’ll stay on top of UAE regulations, new Free Zone incentives, and tax updates so you can speak confidently and credibly to clients. Knowledge is your best sales tool here.
- Client retention and growth: Once a client is on board, you’ll check in periodically to see if they need additional services — because a happy client is your best source of referrals.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s not just a salesperson but a trusted advisor in the making. Here’s what we’d love to see:
Must-Haves:
- Proven sales experience — ideally 2+ years in B2B sales, business development, or a client-facing role. Experience in professional services (accounting, legal, consultancy) is a big plus, but we’re open to exceptional talent from other industries.
- Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal. You’ll be dealing with business owners, CFOs, and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, so clarity and confidence are key.
- A hunter’s mindset — you’re self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable with rejection (it’s part of the game). You know how to keep pushing while staying professional.
- Organisational skills — you can juggle multiple prospects, follow up on time, and keep track of details without dropping the ball.
- Fluency in English — and if you also speak Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Russian, that’s a definite advantage given Dubai’s diverse market.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with UAE Free Zones, mainland licensing, or DIFC structures.
- A basic understanding of corporate tax, VAT, or accounting principles.
- An existing network of potential clients or referral partners in the region.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you. If you’ve got the drive and a willingness to learn, we’re happy to invest in the right person.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Let’s be real — there are plenty of sales jobs in Dubai. But here’s what makes Wealthub different:
- Attractive commission structure: Your hard work will be rewarded. We offer a competitive base salary plus a generous commission scheme that genuinely recognises top performers.
- Real growth opportunities: We’re a young company, which means there’s room to grow into leadership roles as we expand. If you’ve got ambition, we’ve got the platform.
- Flexible working culture: We care about results, not hours spent staring at a screen. There’s flexibility in how you structure your day, especially when you’re out meeting clients.
- Learning and development: You’ll gain deep knowledge of UAE corporate structures, tax regulations
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
Walk me through how you’d approach a cold outreach campaign targeting entrepreneurs who are considering setting up in a UAE Free Zone. What’s your first move, and how do you tailor your pitch before you even pick up the phone?
Imagine a client calls you frustrated about a VAT registration deadline they just missed. How would you handle that conversation, and what would you do to turn that stress into a potential sale?
You’re juggling five active deals, two of which are at the proposal stage, and a major lead just asked for a same-day meeting. How do you prioritise your day without letting anything slip?
Tell me about a time you had to explain a complex or technical concept—like corporate tax or regulatory compliance—to a client who had zero background in it. How did you make it click for them?
What’s your process for staying current on UAE regulations, Free Zone incentives, or tax changes? And how do you turn that knowledge into a conversation starter with a prospect?
Describe a deal you closed that initially seemed like a long shot. What did you do differently to win it over, and what did that experience teach you about consultative selling?
We work with everyone from solo founders to established CFOs. How would you adjust your communication style when pitching a business setup package to a first-time entrepreneur versus a seasoned finance director?
Give me an example of a time you lost a deal you really wanted. Looking back, what would you have done differently, and how did you bounce back to keep your pipeline moving?
If a client signs up for our audit services but you notice they’re struggling with bookkeeping, how would you approach suggesting additional services without coming across as pushy?
We’re a young, hands-on team where everyone contributes to the bigger picture. Tell me about a time you took initiative beyond your core responsibilities—something that helped the team or the business in a way you weren’t strictly asked
