About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Let’s Talk About Your Next Adventure: Sales Executive at Discovery Travel and Tourism
Picture this: you’re helping dream vacations and once-in-a-lifetime adventures actually happen — and getting to build relationships along the way. At Discovery Travel and Tourism, we’re welcoming both Outdoor and Indoor Sales Executives in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE, and if you thrive in dynamic environments where every day brings a new challenge (and maybe a new destination to learn about), you’re in the right place. Curious about how selling travel can change more than just your workday? We’d love to show you.
About Discovery Travel and Tourism
Here at Discovery, we see ourselves as more than just a travel agency — we’re a team obsessed with creating seamless, unforgettable journeys for our clients, from all-encompassing hotel package deals to those spur-of-the-moment ticket bookings. Our culture is built on trust, energetic collaboration, and friendly competition (yes, our monthly “top closer” wins lunch at their favorite restaurant — team picks). Whether it’s brainstorming creative itineraries or figuring out the best airline routes over coffee, we’re hands-on, adaptable, and passionate about what we do. Growth is in our DNA; you’ll see it in both our expanding services and our commitment to nurturing talent within.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Connect with potential clients (individuals, families, and businesses) to understand their travel needs and tailor solutions that fit — no “cookie cutter” plans here.
- For Outdoor Sales Executives: hit the road to meet clients at their premises, nurture relationships, and explore new markets across Ras Al-Khaimah and sometimes beyond.
- For Indoor Sales Executives: manage inbound leads in our vibrant office, consult with walk-in customers, and become an expert at transforming inquiries into bookings.
- Handle everything from full hotel packages, ticketing, visa assistance, tours, and other bespoke travel-related services.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, airline offers, and hotel promotions so clients always get the best deal.
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the sales team — sharing insights, troubleshooting customer snags, celebrating big wins (and learning from setbacks).
- Keep meticulous records of all customer interactions, bookings, and follow-ups in our CRM system.
- Build genuine, trust-based relationships — a lot of our best clients come back (or refer their friends).
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Previous experience in travel & tourism sales, with a knack for hotel packages and ticketing solutions.
- For Outdoor Sales Executives: a valid UAE driving license and comfort navigating Ras Al-Khaimah and nearby areas.
- Solid communication skills in English (Arabic is a big plus).
- A customer-first mindset; you get real satisfaction from exceeding expectations.
- The flexibility to work weekends or holidays if needed — travel never sleeps!
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with popular travel reservation systems or ticketing software.
- Passion for travel and willingness to learn the ins-and-outs of new destinations.
- Sales experience outside of travel (hospitality, events, retail) — that kind of background tends to thrive here.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive compensation with commission — your effort actually shows on your paycheck.
- Supportive, team-oriented culture with frequent recognition (and some genuinely good team lunches).
- Opportunities for continuous professional growth — if you want to move up, we want to help you get there.
- Access to industry rates and exclusive travel perks — go ahead, treat yourself to that weekend getaway.
- A lively office in beautiful Ras Al-Khaimah, plus opportunities for remote work during off-peak times.
