About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Sales Officer – Al Riyadah Group (Al Majaz 1, Sharjah)
Ever walked through Al Majaz 1 on a busy weekday morning and felt that hum of commerce — shops opening, deals being handshakes, people building something? That's the energy we're plugging into. Al Riyadah Group is expanding its Sales Department, and we're looking for a Sales Officer who doesn't just clock in but actually wants to sharpen their craft and climb. If you've got real sales experience and you're tired of roles that promise "growth" without a path, this one's worth a serious look.
About the Company
Al Riyadah Group has built its reputation the old-fashioned way: by showing up, delivering, and letting results speak. We're a team that values straight talk over corporate buzzwords, and we mean it when we say the sales floor is where careers get made here — not just where quotas get met. Our Al Majaz 1 office is where the action happens, and we're growing the team because demand keeps outpacing us. That's a good problem to have, and we'd rather solve it with people than with pressure.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the full sales cycle — from first contact to closing — and take real ownership of your numbers
- Build and maintain relationships with clients across Sharjah and the wider UAE market
- Identify new business opportunities and follow up on leads with persistence, not pestering
- Prepare quotes, negotiate terms, and keep accurate records of every deal you touch
- Work closely with the rest of the Sales Department to share what's working and what isn't
- Represent Al Riyadah Group professionally in client meetings, calls, and site visits
What You'll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Genuine, verifiable sales experience — we're not looking for someone to train from zero
- Strong communication and persuasion skills in English (Arabic is a real plus)
- A results-oriented mindset and the discipline to manage your own pipeline
- Comfort working full-time on-site in Sharjah
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in the UAE market or familiarity with Sharjah's business landscape
- A track record of hitting or exceeding targets
- Valid UAE driving license
Not sure you tick every box? We'd still love to hear from you — sometimes the right person looks different on paper than in person.
Why You'll Love Working Here
- A full-time role with a clear path for professional growth — we promote from within
- Direct mentorship from a sales team that's been in the field, not just in meetings
- A central Sharjah location in Al Majaz 1, easy to reach and buzzing with activity
- Performance that gets noticed — and rewarded
- A team culture that's competitive in the healthy way, not the cutthroat way
If you're ready to bring your sales experience somewhere it'll actually be valued, this is that opportunity. Come grow with us.
Common Interview Questions and Tips
To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.
- Walk me through how you typically manage a full sales cycle, from the first cold contact to closing the deal. What does your process look like in practice?
- You mentioned the role involves building relationships across Sharjah and the wider UAE. How would you go about identifying new business opportunities in a market you're not yet familiar with?
- How do you handle the negotiation stage when a client pushes back on pricing or terms? Can you give me a real example of how you navigated that?
- What tools or methods do you rely on to keep your pipeline organized and your records accurate? We want someone who manages their own deals without things slipping through the cracks.
- Since this role involves client meetings and site visits, how comfortable are you representing a company face-to-face in different professional settings?
- If you have experience in the UAE or Sharjah market specifically, what would you say is different about selling here compared to other regions you've worked in?
- Tell me about a time you lost a deal you were confident about. What happened, and what did you take away from it?
- Describe a situation where you had to follow up with a lead multiple times without coming across as pushy. How did you strike that balance?
- There will be times when targets feel steep and momentum slows down. How do you keep yourself disciplined and motivated during those stretches?
- Can you share an example of how you've worked with a team to share what's working and what isn't? We care a lot about that kind of openness here.
- This role is fully on-site in Al Majaz 1. What appeals to you about working in a central, fast-paced office environment rather than remotely?
- We promote from within and expect people to grow here. Where do you see yourself in two or three years if you join a team like ours?
- What's something about the way you sell that you think would stand out on our floor — something a resume wouldn't necessarily capture?
