About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Join Our Chocolate & Gift Shop Team in Al Rigga, Dubai
If you’ve ever pictured yourself working surrounded by fine chocolates and beautiful gifts (with the enticing scent of cocoa in the air), this might just be your sweet spot. We’re on the lookout for personable, motivated salespeople to become part of our family-operated shop in lively Al Rigga. This is more than a retail job—it’s a chance to create memorable moments for customers, connect with a friendly team, and enjoy the vibrant energy of Dubai’s gifting culture.
About Us
Nestled in the heart of Al Rigga, our boutique chocolate and gift shop has been a local favorite for years—think regulars who drop in just to chat, and new faces seeking the perfect treat. We take pride in crafting warm, personal experiences for every visitor. Our team is diverse and always shares a laugh during slow hours (and occasionally debates the best way to wrap a box of truffles). Growth here isn’t just about sales numbers; it’s about building relationships and stories, one box of chocolates at a time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greeting customers warmly as they enter, making them feel instantly welcome and appreciated.
- Listening attentively to what customers are looking for, then guiding them to the ideal chocolate or gift for any occasion.
- Mastering product knowledge, so you can describe flavors, origin stories, and find creative ways to showcase what makes each item special.
- Upselling and cross-selling products—introduce customers to our seasonal collections or tempting add-ons.
- Processing transactions efficiently and accurately (we like happy surprises, but not at the cash register).
- Keeping displays neat and inviting, so every shelf looks irresistible.
- Contributing to a collaborative team environment, stepping in to help or share tips whenever needed.
- Handling customer queries or issues gracefully, always aiming for delight, not just satisfaction.
What You’ll Bring
- Excellent communication skills—you genuinely enjoy talking to people and can build rapport with customers from all walks of life.
- A positive, outgoing personality—ready to engage with customers and colleagues alike.
- Currently residing in the UAE (this is required for application).
- A professional, well-groomed appearance—you represent the style and warmth of our brand.
- Reliability and honesty—we trust our team to care for our shop as if it was their own.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous retail or sales experience—especially in food, hospitality, or gifts.
- Basic Arabic language skills (helpful but not required).
- A sweet tooth or genuine enthusiasm for chocolate—customers can always tell!
Not sure you check every single requirement? We care more about your will to grow and connect than a perfect CV—so please reach out.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive base salary starting from AED2500/month, plus an uncapped commission structure for those who love a little friendly sales competition.
- Genuine team spirit—supportive colleagues who’ll show you the ropes and have your back during busy periods.
- A family-like workplace with open communication and space for your ideas (and yes, occasional staff treats).
- Prime location in Al Rigga, Dubai’s lively heart—minutes from metro stations and endless lunch options.
- Opportunities to grow, learn new skills, and take on more responsibility as you become part of our shop’s story.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team that knows how to blend hard work with good humor and great chocolate. (Please note: as this role is offered via a recruitment company, an application fee applies.)
