About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever pictured yourself powering up some of Dubai’s most impressive buildings? As our new Senior Electrician, you won’t just wire circuits—you’ll be at the heart of bringing major projects to life. We’re searching for a hands-on expert who’s as comfortable with blueprints and high-rise towers as they are with DM inspections and the fast-evolving world of home automation. If you’ve got a knack for troubleshooting and a passion for smart, safe electrical solutions, this could be your next big move.

About the Company

We’re a close-knit team that thrives on challenge and innovation, working at the intersection of Dubai’s booming construction scene and cutting-edge technology. We may not be the largest outfit in town, but our portfolio brags more than a few G+4 buildings and statement towers (yes, we’re proud of them). We value expertise, problem-solving, and a can-do attitude—plus, our Friday pie-and-chai breaks are practically legendary. Around here, everyone’s voice matters, and there’s plenty of room to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading electrical installations and upgrades for sophisticated multi-story buildings and towers
  • Reviewing project drawings, identifying materials needed, and coordinating orders independently
  • Overseeing and personally ensuring all work is Dubai Municipality (DM) inspection-ready
  • Troubleshooting low current systems and implementing home automation features
  • Collaborating closely with site engineers, project managers, and junior electricians
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and reports for compliance and handover
  • Providing expert input during DM inspections to clear any issues on the spot
  • Training and mentoring the next generation of on-site electricians

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • At least 3–5 years electrician experience, with a significant stint on Dubai-based, G+4 buildings or towers
  • Proven track record of passing Dubai Municipality (DM) inspections
  • Strong technical skills in electrical systems, low current systems, and modern home automation
  • Ability to read, interpret, and mark up project drawings confidently
  • Capable of sourcing and ordering project materials independently
  • Clear communication and a collaborative approach

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Formal electrical trade certification
  • Experience training apprentices or leading small teams
  • Familiarity with advanced building automation and energy-saving technology

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary package: AED 1500–2500, reviewed annually
  • Overtime pay for those crunch periods
  • Supportive, team-first culture where you won’t be “just another number”
  • On-the-job learning with exposure to Dubai’s most ambitious construction projects
  • Regular skill-up workshops and DM inspection briefings
  • Safety-first approach: your well-being is never compromised
  • Occasional team outings—and yes, those Friday treats

Here, you’ll get more than a paycheque—you’ll grow your skills, see your work shape Dubai’s skyline, and join a crew that takes pride in a job well done.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through a recent project where you led the electrical installation for a high-rise or G+4 building? What were the unique challenges, and how did you address them?
  • Describe your experience preparing for and successfully passing Dubai Municipality (DM) inspections. What common issues have you encountered, and how do you resolve them on-site?
  • How do you go about reviewing complex electrical blueprints and identifying the precise materials and quantities needed for a project?
  • Tell us about a time you diagnosed and fixed a tricky issue in a low current system or integrated a new home automation feature—what process did you follow?
  • What’s your approach to collaborating with engineers, project managers, and junior team members when timelines are tight and priorities shift?
  • When mentoring less experienced electricians, how do you ensure they learn both safety best practices and efficient installation techniques?
  • Imagine you discover that a crucial component for tomorrow’s work hasn’t arrived yet. How would you handle the situation to keep the project moving forward?
  • Our industry is always evolving—how do you stay up-to-date with the latest automation and energy-saving technologies?
  • Can you share a story where your attention to documentation or compliance made a difference during project handover or a municipal inspection?
  • In fast-paced projects, how do you balance working quickly with maintaining a strong focus on safety?
  • What motivates you most about working in a close-knit team, and how do you contribute to a positive work environment?
  • Team culture is important here—how would you handle a disagreement or miscommunication on-site, especially when the pressure is on?
  • What interests you about working on Dubai’s skyline-defining buildings, and how do you see your career evolving with us?
  • How do you make sure your voice—and the voice of others—is heard during team discussions or when offering solutions to tough problems?
