What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing and managing all electrical work on the busy solar construction site, from early mornings to project handover.
- Planning phased electrical installation alongside the project manager—anticipating roadblocks, and adjusting workflows with agility.
- Coordinating seamlessly with civil, mechanical, and subcontractor teams—because solar is a team sport, not a solo mission!
- Ensuring all installations strictly comply with DEWA regulations, safety codes, and technical specifications.
- Inspecting and testing systems before energization—identifying and resolving snags before they become bigger headaches.
- Keeping clean, accurate site records—because documentation is as critical as the hardware.
- Troubleshooting technical issues on the spot, whether that’s a misbehaving inverter or an off-spec cable route.
- Leading by example to enforce use of PPE and safe work protocols at all times.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years’ hands-on site experience with electrical installations, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UAE electrical regulations and safety standards (DEWA experience a plus).
- Strong planning skills with a knack for staying organized amid site hustle.
- Confident communicator—able to give clear instructions and coordinate with multiple teams.
- Problem-solver mentality; cool under pressure, quick on your feet.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience with large-scale solar PV projects in the Gulf.
- Certification in worksite safety, first aid, or project management (PMP, IOSH, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Arabic or Hindi.
