About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Curious what it feels like to see an empty shell transform into a finished showcase — and know you orchestrated every detail? At AKA Interiors, we're seeking a seasoned Site Foreman to help us bring bold design visions to life right in the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay. If you have a sharp eye for construction quality, thrive on active sites, and want to see your expertise leave a visible mark (literally), this could be your next step.

About the Company

At AKA Interiors, we’re a vibrant, close-knit team based out of Parklane Tower in Business Bay. Our portfolio covers high-end fit-outs and distinctive interiors, but what really sets us apart is our hands-on, collaborative approach. Designers, engineers, and project managers huddle up regularly — sometimes over coffee, sometimes over marble samples — to work through every detail. We celebrate small wins (and big project launches) and genuinely value input from every member, whether you’re on site or in the office. Our team thrives on tackling challenges head-on, finding creative solutions, and supporting one another, especially when deadlines approach.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing daily site operations for projects involving marble work, tiling, and diverse civil construction activities
  • Interpreting and implementing architectural and construction drawings to ensure works are completed accurately
  • Coordinating with sub-contractors, suppliers, and site workers to keep timelines — and tempers — on track
  • Conducting quality checks and ensuring safety standards are met at every stage of the project
  • Troubleshooting on-site issues as they arise with practical problem-solving instincts
  • Communicating progress and potential challenges with the project manager and design team
  • Keeping project documentation up to date, from daily logs to material inventories

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Solid, hands-on experience as a Site Foreman in fit-out, civil, and construction site supervision in the UAE
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings with confidence
  • Clear English communication skills for talking with crews, clients, and consultants
  • Proven familiarity with site safety requirements and UAE construction standards

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience specifically in marble, tile, and high-end finish work
  • Knowledge of local suppliers and sub-contractor networks
  • Familiarity with digital project management tools
  • Conversational knowledge of additional languages (Hindi, Arabic, etc.)

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive compensation tailored to your experience
  • Work site centered in vibrant Business Bay, easily accessible from across Dubai
  • Emphasis on team support — you’ll never be left on your own to “figure it out”
  • Growth opportunities: many of our leads started on site and took on bigger roles
  • Friday team check-ins (with snacks), steady recognition, and a management team who actually listens
  • Exposure to standout projects — your craftsmanship will be seen all over Dubai
  • Open line of communication with leaders who value your input and reward initiative

We’re passionate about building beautiful spaces, but we’re even more committed to building a team you’ll feel proud to be part of. If you’re looking for a place where your experience and ideas are genuinely valued, we hope you’ll join us.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through your experience supervising high-end fit-out or civil construction projects in the UAE, particularly when it comes to marble and tile work?
  • When reviewing architectural or construction drawings, how do you ensure all site work aligns accurately with the design intent?
  • How do you approach coordinating multiple subcontractors and suppliers to keep a project running smoothly, especially under tight deadlines?
  • Tell us about a time you identified a potential safety issue on site—what steps did you take to resolve it while maintaining project progress?
  • What systems or habits do you use to keep daily site documentation—like logs and material inventories—organized and up to date?
  • Describe a challenging on-site issue you’ve encountered mid-project. How did you troubleshoot, and what was the outcome?
  • How do you keep communication clear and constructive between yourself, your crew, and the design or project management team?
  • Have you worked with digital project management tools before? If so, how have these technologies helped you in site supervision?
  • In your experience, what are the main differences in quality control between standard finishing works and high-end finishes such as marble or specialty tiles?
  • How do you ensure that everyone on your site is aligned with UAE construction standards and on-site safety practices?
  • Can you share an example of a situation where you had to calm tensions or resolve a disagreement among site tradespeople or subcontractors?
  • What motivates you most: seeing a finished interior space, overcoming project challenges, or supporting your team’s growth?
  • How do you contribute to a positive and collaborative atmosphere, especially as deadlines approach or pressures increase?
  • Our culture values input from every team member, whether you’re on-site or in the office. What’s your approach to giving and receiving feedback in a team environment?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 7,000–10,000 AED per month for a Site Foreman role in the Dubai interiors and fit-out industry, especially if you have strong UAE experience and knowledge of high-end finishes. Similar positions in this sector and location often offer salaries within this range, with room for negotiation based on your experience with specialized works like marble, tiling, and managing complex teams. If you bring extensive local expertise and a proven track record, aiming toward the higher end of this bracket is reasonable.
