About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it takes to help shape some of the most ambitious building projects in Sharjah? At International Quality Building Contracting Company, we’re seeking skilled subcontractors across a variety of specialties—think carpentry, blacksmithing, block work, plastering, electrical, plumbing, POP, finishing, air conditioning, and more. Whether your team has handled boutique builds or large-scale developments, there’s a project waiting where your expertise will shine. Ready to take your craft to the next level?

About the Company

International Quality Building Contracting Company isn’t just a name—it’s a reputation, one built on years of exceeding industry standards and transforming blueprints into thriving, beautiful spaces. As a prominent player in Sharjah’s construction scene, we blend international best practices with a local touch. Our team is a lively mix of experienced professionals and fresh thinkers, collaborating on projects that challenge and excite us. And yes, we love sharing success stories over morning karak in the break room or a well-earned meal after a milestone delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborating closely with our project managers and site supervisors to deliver high-quality results that meet precise specifications.
  • Bringing your trade expertise (carpentry, blacksmithing, block/brick work, plastering, electrical, plumbing, POP, finishing, air conditioning, or related skills) to standout projects across commercial and residential domains.
  • Adhering to timelines and maintaining strict safety and quality standards on every job.
  • Proactively communicating progress, hurdles, and solutions—because we believe a straightforward heads-up makes all the difference.
  • Embracing opportunities to work on a variety of projects, from luxury villas to high-profile commercial developments.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Proven experience in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, blacksmithing, block/brick, plaster, electrical, plumbing, POP, finishing, air conditioning, etc.
  • Up-to-date trade certifications and the proper licensing (if required by Sharjah regulations).
  • A track record of reliability, strong communication, and focus on delivering quality results.
  • Commitment to site safety and working collaboratively with diverse teams.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous subcontracting experience on major commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
  • Established team or crew with your own tools and transportation.
  • Flexibility to take on short-term or longer assignments as needed.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Consistent pipeline of diverse, challenging projects—no two weeks are quite the same.
  • Prompt, transparent payment schedules for subcontractors (no chasing overdue invoices).
  • Opportunities for repeat and long-term collaboration—we value partners, not just one-off suppliers.
  • Supportive and approachable project management team—look forward to clear briefs and quick feedback.
  • Collaborative site culture with a shared focus on safety, quality, and respect.

Here, you’re not just another subcontractor; you’re an essential part of the team that brings vision to life, one project at a time. Come work with people who genuinely appreciate a job well done.

  • Tell us about a situation where you identified a potential issue or delay early on. How did you communicate it to the broader project team, and what solution did you propose?
  • Have you previously worked on both residential and commercial projects? How did you adapt your approach to suit the different requirements?
  • How do you handle situations when specifications or plans change mid-project? Can you provide an example?
  • When it comes to collaborating with professionals from different backgrounds and cultures, how do you foster mutual respect and smooth teamwork on site?
  • What motivates you and your crew to deliver high-quality results, even on more routine or challenging projects?
  • How do you ensure transparent and proactive communication with project leadership and other trades throughout a build?
  • What does a positive workplace culture mean to you, especially in the context of a diverse site team like ours?
  • Why are you interested in partnering with International Quality Building Contracting Company, and what do you hope to contribute to our ongoing projects?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

As a specialized subcontractor in trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, block work, or AC, you should expect to negotiate for a monthly contract value ranging between 6,000–12,000 AED per skilled worker, depending on your trade, experience, and project complexity. Teams handling complete scopes with proven experience on large developments and providing their own tools may command rates at the higher end or beyond, especially for highly specialized trades or urgent assignments. Make sure to factor in your costs, certifications, and recent project track record, as reputable companies in Sharjah are willing to pay a premium for reliability and high-quality craftsmanship.
