What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee daily waste collection operations across assigned routes, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Lead, guide, and motivate a team of waste collection staff — you’ll be their go-to person for questions and support.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain hygiene standards and compliance with local regulations.
- Coordinate schedules, manage attendance, and step in to resolve on-the-ground issues promptly.
- Communicate with management to report progress, challenges, and suggestions for improving our processes.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained and used correctly — safety always comes first.
- Train new team members on procedures, safety, and company values.
- Occasionally interact with clients or local authorities to address operational needs or concerns.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, ideally in waste management or a related field.
- A valid UAE driving license (essential for this role).
- Strong knowledge of waste collection procedures and local health & safety standards.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Good communication — you’re approachable and clear, whether talking to staff or managers.
- Problem-solving attitude; calm under pressure and quick to find solutions.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working in the Abu Dhabi ICAD area or similar industrial settings.
- Familiarity with basic reporting or scheduling tools (even Excel is a plus).
- Arabic or additional language skills for smoother team and client interactions.
