What You’ll Be Doing
- Reading and interpreting construction blueprints, rebar drawings, and technical diagrams on active job sites.
- Cutting, bending, positioning, and securing steel bars and mesh to reinforce concrete structures—always with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assembling and installing steel reinforcement systems according to engineering specs (no guesswork—just solid technique).
- Collaborating with site supervisors and fellow tradespeople for a smooth workflow—communication is half the job.
- Ensuring safe work practices at all times, including inspecting and maintaining your tools (pride in good equipment goes a long way here).
- Troubleshooting any rebar or formwork issues as they arise—problem solvers shine in our crew.
- Sometimes lending a hand with related carpentry work, depending on project needs.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience as a reinforced steel fixer or carpenter in the UAE (or GCC).
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, concrete reinforcement techniques, and safety standards.
- Practical ability to read and interpret structural drawings with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable handling construction tools and equipment associated with rebar and steel work.
- Team player attitude—someone who looks out for coworkers and the quality of the build.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with both residential and commercial project requirements.
- Problem-solving mindset—able to adapt when plans change or challenges pop up.
- Basic communication skills in English, Hindi, or Arabic.
