About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever thought about putting your electrical engineering know-how to work on projects that truly shape a fast-growing city? As an Electrical Engineer (with DEWA approval) in Dubai’s Silicon Oasis, you won’t just be keeping the lights on — you’ll be at the heart of innovative developments. This is a chance to see your expertise play out across high-spec, dynamic builds, all while working closely with experts that genuinely care about doing things right.
About the Company
We’re a well-established engineering consultancy rooted in the ever-evolving landscape of Dubai. Our office in Silicon Oasis buzzes with collaboration — here, architects debate design tweaks over coffee, and Friday demo days sometimes turn into impromptu team lunches. What keeps us moving forward? A simple belief: every building tells a story, and our team is passionate about getting every chapter right. We value trust, transparency, and always aiming higher together — there’s plenty of room to bring your personality (and your ideas) to the table.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading on-site supervision and daily management of electrical works, making sure everything aligns with DEWA standards and the project specs.
- Preparing, reviewing, and submitting detailed shop drawings, load schedules, and single line diagrams for review and approval — both internally and for DEWA/consultants.
- Handling all material submittals, ensuring timely approvals and proactive follow-up.
- Managing the NOC (No Objection Certificate) application process and coordinating with relevant authorities to clear the path for construction progress.
- Troubleshooting on-the-ground issues as they crop up — no two days are quite the same.
- Acting as a technical point-of-contact for clients, contractors, and consultants — translating complex requirements into practical onsite action.
- Keeping a close eye on project milestones and reporting progress (and any snags) to senior engineers and project managers.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
- DEWA approval as an Electrical Engineer (this is non-negotiable for the role).
- Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing shop drawings, load schedules, and SLDs in line with local UAE regulations.
- Familiarity with the NOC process and liaising with DEWA or similar regulatory bodies.
- Strong communication skills — you’ll need them for interacting with site teams, officials, and consultants.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience on large residential or commercial projects in Dubai or the GCC.
- Knowledge of the latest sustainable electrical solutions and smart building automation trends.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or related software for electrical systems design.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive, industry-aligned salary with regular review cycles.
- Inclusive, multinational team where opinions are encouraged (and valued).
- Support for professional development and DEWA-related training refreshers.
- Flexible approach to hybrid work — we believe great site supervision goes hand-in-hand with work-life balance.
- Annual team events, wellness initiatives, and the occasional Friday breakfast spread.
- The chance to see your projects take shape in one of Dubai’s most dynamic neighborhoods.
In short, if you’re seeking meaningful work, genuine camaraderie, and the opportunity to grow with a team that’s making a real mark on Dubai, you’ll feel right at home with us.
