What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on your specialization, expect hands-on work that’s never dull and always professionally rewarding:
- Overseeing site activities and ensuring all works align strictly with Dubai Municipality regulations
- Preparing, reviewing, and refining detailed designs, drawings, and technical reports
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities (sometimes all in the same afternoon)
- Conducting site inspections and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
- Leading or supporting project management tasks—scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking
- Mentoring junior engineers and sharing insights on best practices and Dubai-specific requirements
- Troubleshooting engineering challenges and proposing practical, innovative solutions
- Preparing applications and documentation for permits and approvals
- Coordinating seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams—structural, architectural, MEP—depending on your expertise
- Ensuring all project deliverables meet deadlines and budgetary targets
- Attending project meetings and representing the consultancy with a solutions-oriented mindset
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Civil Engineer: At least 3 years (junior) OR 7+ years (senior) of experience in Dubai
- Architect: Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience, including Dubai-based projects
- MEP Engineer: Minimum 5 years’ MEP experience, specifically in Dubai projects
- Immediate availability (we move fast, and we hope you do too!)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations and approval processes
- Valid UAE driver’s license
- Strong technical communication skills—able to break down the complex for colleagues and clients alike
- A detail-oriented approach with the ability to see “the big picture” on city-shaping projects
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience with high-rise, mixed-use, or large infrastructure projects in Dubai
- Proficiency in relevant design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Fluency in both English and Arabic
- Past experience leading multi-disciplinary teams or managing client relationships
