About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what goes into those sleek high-rise exteriors you see across Abu Dhabi’s skyline? As a Facade Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of architecture and technical excellence, helping shape the face (quite literally!) of tomorrow’s buildings. With projects spanning aluminum, glass, and steel systems, you’ll join a field that pairs creative vision with engineered precision—right in the heart of the region’s industrial landscape.
About the Company
Based in Abu Dhabi’s Mafraq Industrial area, our firm leads the way in innovative building envelopes, partnering with architects and developers to deliver iconic skylines. We’re a close-knit, detail-obsessed team that takes pride in technical mastery and creative collaboration. Our workspace is filled with project models, design sketches, and the faint buzz of “what if we tried this?” brainstorming. Fridays usually see us sharing project wins over coffee (and the occasional homemade cake from a teammate’s kitchen).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing the design and development of curtain walls, cladding, glazing, and specialized aluminum works
- Collaborating with architects and contractors to translate project visions into feasible, performance-driven facade solutions
- Reviewing and refining technical drawings, material specifications, and shop details—nothing gets your stamp unless it’s precise
- Providing on-site supervision during installation, resolving technical snags, and ensuring compliance with project standards
- Leading technical meetings and brainstorming sessions to tackle complex geometry or interface challenges
- Advising junior engineers and drafters; your mentorship is as valued as your technical know-how
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing, detailing, and supervising facade systems (aluminum, glass, steel)
- Proficiency in curtain wall, cladding, and glazing systems
- Experience reading and developing shop drawings and technical documentation
- Familiarity with standards and regulations in Abu Dhabi/UAE construction
- Great communication skills and a knack for cross-discipline teamwork
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working directly in Mafraq’s industrial sector
- Knowledge of façade thermal and acoustic performance requirements
- Familiarity with 3D modeling or BIM software for facade engineering
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
