About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wished you could be the friendly face that kicks off someone’s memorable evening out? The role of Host/Hostess at one of Deira’s most popular hospitality venues is all about that first “hello” and setting the mood for great experiences. If you thrive on connecting with people and love the energy of a bustling dining scene, you’ll feel right at home here—and with a salary range of AED3000–4500 per month, it’s a great way to start or advance your hospitality career in Dubai.

About the Company

You won’t feel like “just another employee” at this venue. Their team culture is genuinely upbeat—think team check-ins over Arabic coffee, birthday shout-outs, and hands-on managers who remember your favorite dish. This isn’t a corporate giant, but rather a beloved spot where regulars and newcomers get equal care. Growth is on the horizon, so there’s plenty of opportunity for those who show initiative (they’re known for promoting from within and giving shoutouts for going the extra mile).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Greeting guests with a smile and making each arrival feel personal
  • Managing the waitlist, reservations, and walk-ins smoothly, even on busy nights
  • Helping guests feel comfortable and informed while they wait
  • Coordinating closely with serving staff to keep table flow steady—no one likes a mix-up!
  • Answering questions about the menu and venue with confidence
  • Handling special guest requests or issues with patience and quick thinking
  • Keeping the entrance and host station tidy, welcoming, and organized
  • Occasionally assisting with phone enquiries or minor admin tasks (you’re a team player, after all)

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • Warm and genuinely friendly personality
  • Polished, professional appearance (you’re the venue’s ambassador)
  • Clear and confident communication in English
  • Ability to stay poised and personable during peak hours
  • Eligible and willing to work in Dubai (visa sponsorship provided)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Prior experience in a host/hostess or customer-facing hospitality role
  • Basic conversational Arabic or other languages
  • Familiarity with reservation or booking systems

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive monthly salary (AED3000–4500, based on experience)
  • Visa sponsorship handled for you
  • Daily duty meals—you won’t go hungry mid-shift!
  • Comprehensive medical insurance coverage
  • Paid annual leave, so you can recharge properly
  • Service incentives for top-notch performance
  • Supportive management who celebrate team wins (always with a bit of sweets)
  • Career growth opportunities as the venue continues expanding
  • Diverse and lively team where everyone pulls together in a pinch

You’ll join a team that knows hospitality isn’t just about tables and menus—it’s about people, experiences, and the small moments that bring guests back again and again. If you’re the kind of person who can make someone’s day with a simple smile, you’ll feel right at home here.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk me through how you would greet guests on a particularly busy evening to help them feel welcomed and valued, even if there’s a long wait?
  • Tell me about a time when you had to manage multiple reservations and walk-in guests at once. How did you keep everything organized and ensure a smooth guest experience?
  • How do you handle it when a guest has a special request or concern—especially if it requires quick thinking or involves collaborating with other staff?
  • What approaches help you stay calm and personable during peak hours, when the entrance area is crowded and guests may be impatient?
  • Have you previously worked with reservation systems or booking software? If so, which ones, and how comfortable are you navigating them?
  • This role often involves answering questions about the menu and venue. How do you make sure you have accurate information to share with guests?
  • Describe a time when you had to step outside your job description to help a teammate or resolve an unexpected issue. What did you do, and what was the result?
  • How would you respond if two tables were mistakenly given to different parties at the same time? What steps would you take to resolve the situation smoothly?
  • Our team loves to celebrate wins together. Can you share an experience where being part of a close-knit, supportive team made a difference in your workday?
  • As the first point of contact, your appearance and demeanor set the tone for the evening. What does professionalism mean to you in a hospitality setting?
  • How do you maintain a positive atmosphere at the host station while also keeping things organized and running efficiently?
  • We often have team check-ins and management is very hands-on. How do you feel about working in a culture where collaboration and open communication are encouraged?
  • If you spoke conversational Arabic or another language, how would you use that skill to enrich the guest experience in our diverse venue?
  • What motivates you to go above and beyond for a guest, and can you give us an example of when you did
