About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever find yourself walking into a space and instantly picturing exactly how to make it truly shine? If you’re the kind of person who sees both the big picture and the tiny, transformative details, this opportunity in the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay might just be what you’ve been looking for. We’re looking for an Interior Designer who’s ready to shape inspiring environments and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. Whether you’ve honed your craft here in the UAE or brought your design sensibilities from abroad, if you’re currently residing in the Emirates and ready for your next chapter, read on.
About the Company
Nestled among the skyscrapers and energy of Business Bay, our firm is more than just another engineering consultancy — think of us as creative problem-solvers with a practical edge. Our projects don’t just look good on paper; they come alive in homes, offices, and public spaces throughout Dubai. Here, collaboration means more than meetings and emails: we bounce ideas around over strong coffee and celebrate wins with impromptu team outings. While we’re deeply rooted in engineering, we believe the best spaces are where form meets function — and our designers play a pivotal role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and clients to bring interior visions to life — from brainstorming sketches to on-site implementation.
- Develop detailed interior layouts, mood boards, and design presentations using both hand-drawing and digital tools (think AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent).
- Select and source the perfect materials, finishes, and furnishings, balancing creative flair with budget and project specs.
- Conduct site visits and oversee installation, ensuring adherence to your design vision and safety standards alike.
- Stay current with design trends and regional styles, ensuring each project feels fresh, practical, and distinctly “Dubai.”
- Communicate with suppliers, contractors, and the project team to keep everything running smoothly.
- Offer creative solutions to unexpected challenges — and share the wins and learnings with your team.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 1 year of professional interior design experience (in the UAE or internationally).
- Currently residing in the UAE and ready to work in Dubai’s Business Bay.
- Familiarity with key design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
- Strong visual communication: you can convey ideas through sketches, mood boards, or polished presentations.
- Collaborative mindset — agility, adaptability, and a genuine desire to work with a team.
- Solid grasp of materials, furnishings, and local suppliers relevant to the UAE market.
- Clear communication skills in English (Arabic is a bonus!).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working with engineering or architectural consultancies.
- Portfolio that showcases versatility — residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices or green materials.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary: 6000–7000 AED/month, with room to grow as you show your impact.
- Secure two-year employment contract and residency permit — stability you can count on.
- Comprehensive health insurance to keep you covered.
- Additional benefits — we’ll discuss the details in person, but think of things like professional development and team-building activities.
- Modern workspace in Business Bay, with opportunities to influence exciting projects across Dubai.
- Supportive, diverse team that’s passionate about creativity, problem-solving, and celebrating success (whether that’s a finished project or Friday afternoon coffee runs).
- Open, collaborative environment — your input matters, from team brainstorms to design reviews.
We understand moving forward in your career is a big decision — and we’re here to make that step as rewarding (and inspiring) as possible.
Please note: This recruitment process includes a job application fee.
