About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Introduction

Do you thrive in fast-paced tech environments where no two days look quite the same? We're searching for an IT Operations Manager to join our dynamic technology division right in the heart of Dubai Internet City. In this role, you’ll be the linchpin that keeps our systems humming and our teams connected — crucial work as we continue our rapid expansion. If you're ready to take the reins and steer proactive IT operations in a city that’s at the crossroads of global innovation, this might just be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

About the Company

We’re not your typical tech shop — our roots might be in IT solutions, but our spirit is all about collaboration and progress. Picture a team where weekly brainstorming over karak tea often sparks the next big idea, and where innovation isn’t just encouraged, it’s expected. As a growing company nestled in Dubai Internet City, we embrace both diverse perspectives and agile ways of working; adaptability and camaraderie are a big part of our DNA. So, whether you’re plotting our next system upgrade or sharing memes on our team chat (yes, we see you!), you’ll find a culture that celebrates curiosity and accountability in equal measure.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and mentoring the IT support team, fostering both growth and collaboration.
  • Ensuring maximum uptime of our core systems — you’ll be the person everyone trusts when the stakes are high.
  • Overseeing infrastructure maintenance (think servers, networks, and backup systems) and scheduling proactive upkeep.
  • Coordinating daily operations for all IT aspects, making sure every department has what it needs, when it needs it.
  • Streamlining incident response and problem management processes so issues are resolved — and learned from.
  • Collaborating closely with department heads to anticipate IT needs and plan strategic improvements.
  • Managing vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services — negotiation skills come in handy here!
  • Reporting on performance metrics and suggesting efficiency tweaks to keep us ahead of the curve.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves

  • Proven experience managing IT operations or support teams, ideally in a mid-to-large scale environment.
  • Solid technical background across network, infrastructure, system administration, and helpdesk environments.
  • Strong leadership skills — you know how to motivate, prioritize, and mentor a diverse team.
  • Sharp problem-solving abilities and a knack for staying calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills — you can explain technical issues in plain English as easily as you can dive deep with an engineer.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Dubai Internet City.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in a multicultural or international work environment.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure management (think AWS, Azure, or similar).
  • Knowledge of ITIL or similar best practices and frameworks.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Two-year residency visa sponsorship — start your Dubai adventure with peace of mind.
  • Comprehensive health insurance to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Accommodation and transportation provided — hassle-free living so you can focus on what matters.
  • Competitive salary, paid monthly.
  • Dynamic, growing team that cares about your ideas (and your well-being).
  • Plenty of opportunities for professional development — upskilling is part of our culture.
  • Friendly team events, cross-department breakfasts, and tech talks are regular fixtures.

You’ll be surrounded by passionate people who don’t just keep the lights on — they innovate, collaborate, and celebrate success together. If you’re ready for a challenge (and a bit of fun along the way), you could find your next career home right here with us.

  • What steps do you take to foster open, plain-English communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders?
  • How have you adapted to working with teams from different cultural backgrounds or in international settings? Any lessons learned?
  • In a culture where curiosity and accountability are valued, how do you encourage your team to take initiative while also learning from mistakes?
