What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out detailed land surveys for a variety of sites — from bustling construction zones to untouched parcels of land.
- Using GPS devices and Total Stations to gather precise data, ensuring every measurement is spot-on.
- Interpreting site plans and design drawings, then transferring those onto the landscape with expert setting out skills.
- Conducting site measurements, collecting and compiling information needed for regulatory or client requirements.
- Preparing clear, thorough survey reports that help the rest of the project team make informed decisions.
- Communicating findings and recommendations effectively — you’ll connect with engineers, contractors, and sometimes even clients, laying out your insights clearly.
- Troubleshooting surveying challenges in real-time (there’s always one), and thinking on your feet to keep site progress smooth.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience in land surveying — you’ve navigated your share of field challenges.
- Deep familiarity with modern GPS equipment and Total Stations — you know your way around the tools and the tech.
- Proven accuracy in site measurements, setting out, and documentation.
- Solid communication skills; you can translate technical findings for both experts and non-specialists.
- A commitment to getting things right the first time — attention to detail is second nature to you.
