About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever pictured yourself moving major projects forward in one of Dubai’s most dynamic contracting environments? As our next Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take center stage in shaping complex HVAC and plumbing projects—where every day brings a new technical challenge and a chance to leave your mark. This is more than a routine engineering role; you’ll have the autonomy and support to help set industry standards, all within the ever-evolving landscape of Dubai construction.
About the Company
Headquartered in the vibrant Abu Hail district, we’re a contracting company that’s earned our stripes by tackling bold, technically-rich projects across Dubai. While we're proud of a legacy that spans decades, what really keeps our people happy is the day-to-day—tight-knit project teams, an open-door policy even at the top, and honest appreciation for practical problem-solving. You’ll often find us working late before deliverables (pizza on us) and celebrating together after project milestones. We balance a fast pace with a sense of humor and a genuine commitment to professional mentorship.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing day-to-day site supervision for large-scale mechanical installations, including HVAC and plumbing systems—you’re the go-to expert on the ground.
- Coordinating closely with contractors, suppliers, and site engineers to resolve technical bottlenecks before they become issues.
- Reviewing and approving technical drawings and shop drawings, ensuring all documentation meets project requirements and regulatory standards.
- Leading site inspections and quality control, always with an eye for both safety and practical, efficient solutions.
- Preparing clear, concise technical and progress reports—helping keep stakeholders informed and projects moving.
- Training and mentoring junior engineers or site supervisors when needed (knowledge-sharing is second nature here).
- Collaborating with the wider team to adapt plans on the fly, especially during high-stakes project phases.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience working on HVAC and plumbing systems in a contracting environment.
- Proven track record in mechanical site supervision—the more challenging the project, the better.
- Strong skills in relevant computer applications (think AutoCAD, MS Office, and technical reporting tools).
- Excellent English communication, verbal and written. You won’t just write reports; you’ll help communicate solutions across diverse teams.
- Prior experience with a contracting firm (in the UAE or similar market).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with relevant Dubai or UAE codes and standards.
- A knack for clear, visual technical documentation or a passion for mentoring newer teammates.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
