What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing detailed, high-precision MEP drawings (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) in AutoCAD and related software
- Coordinating closely with design engineers and site supervisors to ensure seamless project execution
- Adjusting plans and layouts based on design changes, site conditions, or client feedback — adaptability is key here
- Reviewing technical drawings for compliance with project specs, standards, and local authority requirements
- Assisting with quantity take-offs, BOQ preparations, and documentation for project tenders and submittals
- Supporting the engineering team by providing clear, organized drawings for installation and procurement purposes
- Visiting project sites for surveys, measurements, and on-the-job clarifications (yes, sometimes you need to see things in person)
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drafting (MEP) — at least 2 years in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or other BIM software a solid plus
- Strong attention to detail, plus the organizational skills to manage files and version control
- Ability to interpret technical data, specifications, and engineering sketches
- Clear, concise communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- A collaborative mindset; you enjoy working closely with both office and site teams
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with Dubai or UAE MEP standards/regulations
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary projects (think fit outs, high-rise, or commercial builds)
