About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered what it’s like to see a landmark project take shape—knowing you played a key role in every pipe laid and every wire run? As our next Site Mechanical Engineer in Nad Al Sheba, you’ll be right at the heart of the action, ensuring that every MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) detail is expertly executed. With Dubai’s skyline constantly evolving, this is your chance to leave a mark on a project that matters, surrounded by a team that values technical finesse and real-world problem-solving.

About the Company

We’re a mid-sized, fast-growing engineering firm with a reputation for tackling ambitious projects across Dubai. Our team is tight-knit—think collaborative site walk-throughs, open-door policy with managers, and plenty of shared coffee breaks (because, let’s face it, site life runs on caffeine). We believe in nurturing technical excellence but never at the expense of a supportive work environment. Here, Friday afternoons might mean a quick team chat about the week’s wins, or a friendly debate over the best HVAC solutions for a tricky build.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee all on-site MEP activities, from HVAC installations to plumbing and electrical work, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Interpret and create detailed shop drawings and plans that guide subcontractors and keep the project on track.
  • Coordinate daily with subcontractors, receiving and inspecting completed work to ensure it meets specifications.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues—sometimes this means rolling up your sleeves and getting hands-on.
  • Liaise with project managers, consultants, and other engineers to keep everyone in the loop and drive the project forward.
  • Monitor progress against timelines, flagging any delays and helping the team adjust as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections for fire fighting system installations and sign off when everything aligns with local codes.
  • Maintain clear documentation of site activities, handovers, and any changes to plans or schedules.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) works, with a strong track record on-site.
  • Solid skills in preparing shop drawings, reading plans, and translating them into site reality.
  • Confidence in following up and receiving work from subcontractors—communication is key here.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fire fighting systems.
  • Ability to work on site in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, and adapt to the unique challenges each project phase brings.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Previous experience working on large-scale Dubai projects.
  • Familiarity with the latest MEP design software.
  • Strong English (and Arabic) communication skills for seamless teamwork.

Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary package, reviewed annually.
  • Supportive team culture—help is always just a call away.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and site leadership roles.
  • Exposure to some of Dubai’s most exciting engineering projects.
  • Health insurance, annual leave, and overtime compensation.
  • Flexible approach: while this is a site-based role, we respect your need for work-life balance.

We know that great site engineers thrive when they’re trusted and empowered. Here, your expertise won’t just be valued—it’ll help shape the city’s future.
