Ever wondered what it’s like to be the driving force behind smooth, efficient construction projects? If you’re keen to dive deep into the world where planning meets execution, this Office Engineer role in Al Ain Al Jahili could be your next big move. With projects multiplying and standards rising across the UAE, there’s never been a more exciting (or more crucial) time to bring your expertise to the table—and help us make an impact from the inside out.
About the Company
Picture a tight-knit team where hands-on experience matters just as much as innovation—where the workday might involve collaborating over a technical drawing one minute, and sharing a laugh at the coffee machine the next. We’re a locally respected contracting firm based in Al Ain’s historic Al Jahili district, committed to building both sturdy infrastructure and lasting relationships. Our portfolio spans everything from large-scale renovations to high-stakes maintenance work, and we’re driven by a straight-talking, solutions-oriented mindset. Fridays? Those are usually for quick standups, sharing progress, and the occasional slice of cake to celebrate hitting a project milestone.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviewing and interpreting design drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to plan out daily work activities
- Preparing detailed technical reports and schedules that keep everyone—engineers, supervisors, and clients—in the loop
- Coordinating between on-site teams, suppliers, and consultants to ensure project milestones are met without a hitch
- Overseeing materials requisition and submittal processes, always verifying specs and quantities before things get moving
- Monitoring project progress, identifying potential bottlenecks early, and proposing practical solutions
- Assisting with quantity surveying, cost estimation, and work progress documentation as needed
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards at every project stage
- Lending a hand in liaising with government authorities for permits and inspections when required
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with contracting and general maintenance projects—preferably in the UAE
- Strong technical writing and reporting skills; you know your way around schedules, BOQs, and “the paperwork nobody wants but everybody needs”
- Solid coordination chops—you naturally connect the dots between teams, vendors, and clients
- Familiarity with relevant local and international standards
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience using project management or scheduling software (like Primavera or MS Project)
- Fluency in both English and Arabic
- A knack for proactive problem-solving (your colleagues appreciate your calm under pressure)
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
