About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Building the future, one smart decision at a time—sound like your kind of challenge? We’re on the hunt for a seasoned Procurement Officer/Purchaser ready to roll up their sleeves and help our construction projects move forward without a hitch. Based smack in the heart of Al Nuaimia 1, Ajman, this full-time role is at the core of how we source, negotiate, and deliver the materials that make our projects possible. If you thrive on making things happen and know the ins and outs of UAE procurement, we’d love to meet you.
About the Company
Here at Emirates Building 2, we’re not your average construction firm. We’re a close-knit team that values initiative, straight talk, and the kind of resourcefulness you only get from hands-on experience. Our office buzzes with collaboration (and, okay, a little friendly competition around who can spot the best vendor deal). We’re growing fast, but our team remains at the heart of what we do—from supporting career growth to celebrating the little wins, like finally tracking down that elusive supplier when nobody else could. Fridays? We kick back together and swap stories from the week—because every project brings a few.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating and managing all purchasing activities for construction materials and services—no day is ever quite the same.
- Sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers across the UAE to get the best value for quality and timelines.
- Overseeing the entire procurement process, from RFQs through to delivery and payment, keeping meticulous records along the way.
- Building solid supplier relationships by communicating honestly and solving problems fast.
- Visiting sites and vendors directly (manual license required—sometimes you just need to see it for yourself).
- Monitoring market trends and price fluctuations to help forecast project costs and keep budgets on target.
- Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and other internal teams for seamless coordination.
- Troubleshooting delivery issues with a calm, solutions-first approach when things don’t go as planned.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- At least 3 years of procurement or purchasing experience in the UAE construction sector.
- Up-to-date knowledge of local suppliers, import/export regulations, and market conditions.

- Strong negotiation chops and a knack for building trust, both inside and outside the company.
- Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to keep calm with shifting priorities.
- Solid communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with construction project management tools (e.g., ERP, MS Project).
- Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business, or a related field.
- A talent for sniffing out smarter, faster, or cheaper solutions—think of yourself as a deal detective.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
