Salary: Negotiable

About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements

Ever wondered how the gears of global logistics really turn? As a Purchase Manager in our Dubai-based team, you’ll sit at the heart of our operations—making sure every shipment is fueled by the right materials, at the right price, from the right people. This isn’t just about ordering goods; it’s about building smart strategies, keen negotiations, and ensuring the business never hits pause waiting for supplies. If you’re passionate about connecting the dots between global vendors and fast-moving distribution, you might be exactly who we need.

About the Company

We aren’t your typical logistics outfit. Our team thrives on tight deadlines, dynamic projects, and the occasional high-stakes coffee-fueled brainstorming session. While Dubai’s skyline evolves, so does our company—we’re scaling up, investing in technology, and empowering every teammate to have an impact. Collaboration is in our DNA (as is a healthy rivalry over who brings in the best supplier deals), and we’re just as serious about supporting each other as we are about supporting our clients. Fridays bring “market watch” roundups (expect everything from new trade policies to the latest shipping memes).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the full procurement cycle—from identifying needs to successful contract sign-off
  • Researching, evaluating, and on-boarding vendors across local and international markets
  • Building strong supplier relationships to secure reliable, cost-effective deals
  • Negotiating prices, terms, and service agreements that don’t just tick the boxes— they turn heads
  • Coordinating closely with warehouse, logistics, and finance teams (sometimes all in one day)
  • Analyzing purchase data to spot savings, avert delays, and keep surprises to a minimum
  • Ensuring every transaction complies with internal processes and local import/export regulations
  • Keeping an ear to the ground for new products, suppliers, and trends that could give us the edge

What You’ll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years’ experience in procurement, preferably in logistics, distribution, or supply chain
  • Proven expertise in sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills—you know how to read between the lines (and the spreadsheets)
  • Experience with procurement software and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication—you can hold your own in a meeting, on a call, or at a vendor lunch

Nice-to-Haves:

  • CIPS/ISCM or similar procurement certification
  • Knowledge of the GCC import/export environment
  • A knack for turning tense negotiations into real partnerships

Not sure if you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Competitive salary and annual bonus scheme
  • Medical insurance from day one
  • Hybrid work policy (because flexible beats rigid, every time)
  • Support for professional development and certifications
  • Vibrant, multicultural team events—you’ll never feel like just a number
  • Office in the heart of Dubai’s logistics corridor (with lunch spots for every taste)

Working here means having the autonomy to take initiative, the support to keep growing, and the trust to make your mark on a fast-moving industry. If you’re looking for your next big purchase (in career terms), your search might just end here.

Common Interview Questions and Tips

To help you prepare and feel confident, here are some questions you might encounter during the interview process for this role.

  • Can you walk us through your typical approach for identifying and vetting new suppliers, particularly in international markets?
  • Tell us about a time you faced a supply chain disruption—how did you resolve it, and what did you learn?
  • What strategies do you use when negotiating price and contract terms to ensure both savings and long-term partnerships?
  • How do you use procurement software or ERP systems to streamline your daily workflow? Are there any tools you’re especially comfortable with?
  • Describe your experience ensuring compliance with local import/export regulations and company procurement policies.
  • When analyzing purchase data, what key indicators do you watch to proactively spot potential issues or savings opportunities?
  • Share a situation where collaborating with warehouse or finance teams was essential to the success of a procurement project.
  • Can you give an example of a negotiation that started out tense but ended with a positive outcome for both sides?
  • How do you stay up to date on industry trends, new vendors, and market shifts that could benefit your procurement strategy?
  • In our fast-paced, multicultural environment, how do you ensure clear communication across different departments and external partners?
  • What motivates you about working in a dynamic, high-growth logistics company as opposed to a more traditional corporate setting?
  • How would you contribute to our company’s culture of collaboration, competition, and continuous improvement?
  • If you had to onboard a new supplier under tight deadlines, what steps would you prioritize to ensure quality and cost efficiency?
  • What’s your favorite way to celebrate a deal well done—with your team or with a supplier?

Market-Based Salary Overview and Analysis

You should expect a salary of at least 12,000 to 18,000 AED per month for a Purchase Manager role in Dubai's logistics sector, given your experience and the strategic responsibilities outlined. Similar roles with 5+ years’ experience and expertise in procurement, supplier negotiations, and ERP systems typically fall within this range, with higher salaries possible for those who bring industry certifications or regional import/export knowledge. Aim for the higher end if you have specialized skills or a strong track record in the UAE market.
