About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Interested in Building Abu Dhabi’s Future—Literally?
Imagine being the cornerstone of quality on projects that define a city’s skyline. We’re searching for a Civil QA/QC Engineer who’s passionate about setting high standards and ensuring every beam, slab, and finish is more than just up to code—they’re something you’re personally proud of. If the idea of seeing your attention to detail reflected in every on-site inspection appeals to you, and you want your next step to be with a company shaping major projects in the UAE, this could be the place for you.
About the Company
We’re a well-established contracting firm rooted in Abu Dhabi’s dynamic landscape—think tall ambitions and even taller structures. Our team is a friendly mix of seasoned industry leaders and sharp newcomers, all driven by a commitment to quality, safety, and always learning. We celebrate project milestones (sometimes with shawarma, sometimes with a site selfie) and never lose sight of the fact that great buildings start with great people. Collaboration is big here, and so is mutual respect—regardless of how many sites you’ve seen.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Overseeing and monitoring daily civil and structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specs, and UAE regulations.
- Leading inspection activities with contractors and site teams—from rebar inspections to concrete pours—making sure all steps are well-documented and discrepancies resolved.
- Conducting internal and external quality audits, raising any issues early, and helping implement effective corrective actions.
- Coordinating closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to uphold quality standards and site safety.
- Preparing, reviewing, and organizing QA/QC documentation (think ITPs, site checklists, NCRs, and test reports).
- Acting as a quality advocate—helping mentor junior team members and sharing your technical expertise in practical, approachable ways.
- Spotting opportunities for process improvement and playing an active role in toolbox talks or team meetings.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent relevant qualification)
- 3+ years’ experience in QA/QC roles on civil/structural projects, ideally in contracting or construction companies in the UAE/GCC
- Good working knowledge of international codes (BS, ASTM, ACI, etc.) and local building standards
- A detail-driven mindset—you catch things others might gloss over
- Clear communication skills (English fluency a must; Arabic is a bonus)
- Comfortable with site-based work and adaptable to changing field conditions
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with digital QA/QC systems, reporting tools, or construction management platforms
- Formal QA/QC certifications (ISO 9001 auditor, etc.)
- Knowledge of sustainable construction practices
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive salary and regular performance reviews
- Health insurance, annual leave, and visa support
- Project exposure: You’ll work on iconic Abu Dhabi builds, not just generic sites
- Supportive, collaborative team—everyone’s ideas matter here
- Friday team lunches, open-door management, and a strong culture of safety
- Opportunities for training, upskilling, and taking on bigger responsibilities over time
- Mix of office and site work for those who like variety in their days
