About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Ever wondered what it feels like to see beautifully crafted furniture that you built, admired by hundreds? At Imdad Furniture Manufacturing, we believe skilled hands and a sharp eye for detail make all the difference. We're currently seeking experienced Carpenters who take pride in their craft and enjoy turning designs into lasting, tangible works of art. Join us in Umm Al Quwain, where traditional woodworking meets contemporary creativity.
About Imdad Furniture Manufacturing
Step inside our workshop and you'll instantly sense the buzz—there’s a steady hum of teamwork, sawdust in the air, and someone always ready with a cup of karak chai. Located at the heart of Umm Al Quwain, within the main building of the Cooperative Society, Imdad is more than just a factory—it's a longstanding family of craftsmen, innovators, and perfectionists. We blend classic woodworking values with new production approaches, and never back down from a creative challenge. Fridays here? Those are for celebrating finished projects, sharing a laugh, and sometimes a friendly debate over which finish is best.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to bring custom furniture designs to life.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood with remarkable accuracy—your ruler and chisel are your best friends.
- Collaborating with our design team and fellow carpenters to solve unique build challenges (creative solutions are always welcome).
- Inspecting your work for precision, ensuring every joint and finish meets our high standards.
- Safely operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, because safety matters just as much as skill.
- Occasionally guiding less-experienced teammates, sharing tips, or lending a hand with problem-solving.
- Taking ownership of your workspace, keeping it tidy and organized.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in carpentry, especially in furniture manufacturing—your portfolio (or even just a story or two from the workshop) will speak for itself.
- Confident ability to read, interpret, and execute designs and blueprints with accuracy.
- Attention to detail and a professional approach—you’re proud of what you create and it shows.
- Positive attitude and a collaborative spirit; you know that teamwork gets the job done.
- Reliability: showing up on time and finishing what you start is second nature to you.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive, timely-paid salaries—hard work deserves fair rewards.
- Friendly, supportive team with open lines of communication (and frequent tea breaks).
- A hands-on environment brimming with creative opportunities.
- Convenient location in Umm Al Quwain, right in the Cooperative Society’s main building.
- Stable work hours with room for overtime on special projects.
- Respect for craftsmanship—your skills won’t just be valued, they’ll be celebrated.
