About the Role: Responsibilities, Skills, and Requirements
Introduction
Are you most at home where raw materials transform into stunning, seamless surfaces—right before your eyes? If the artistry and technical challenge of full, on-site terrazzo casting excites you, then this opportunity could be your next big step. We’re searching for dedicated Terrazzo Technicians who aren’t just installers, but true craftsmen—passionate about the process from mix to polish. This isn’t about setting tiles or placing pre-cut slabs; it’s about bringing spaces to life through precision and hands-on expertise.
About the Company
Think of us as the go-to team for turning ordinary spaces into showstoppers—one pristine floor at a time. As a recognized leader in the flooring industry, we’ve built our reputation on a mix of traditional craftsmanship and forward-thinking innovation. Our projects range from high-traffic commercial lobbies to custom artistic commissions, and attention to detail is at the heart of everything we do. Expect a workplace where skill is respected, collaboration is encouraged, and your expertise really counts. We take pride in our team, from our project managers who know terrazzo inside out, to our technicians who always have a new tip or trick up their sleeve (and yes, our coffee machine is legendary).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Mixing raw materials on site to create custom terrazzo blends that meet design and durability specs.
- Executing full on-site casting: preparing, pouring, spreading, and consolidating terrazzo seamlessly across large surfaces.
- Skillfully operating grinding and polishing tools to reveal the terrazzo’s signature smooth finish and vibrant color patterns.
- Conducting all stages of the terrazzo process—preparation, pouring, grinding, finishing—with a craftsman’s eye for detail at every step.
- Problem-solving on the spot: from minor surface repairs to adjusting a mix formula when conditions (or clients) change.
- Collaborating with project managers and designers to ensure every surface tells its unique story.
- Keeping job sites organized, safe, and efficient so that each project runs smoothly from start to finish.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
- Proven hands-on experience in full on-site terrazzo casting (not tile-laying or pre-cut installations).
- Working knowledge of each terrazzo process phase: mix preparation, casting, leveling, grinding, and finishing.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools and materials for seamless terrazzo work.
- Strong attention to detail—you notice and correct the little things others miss.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle on-site demands and heavy materials.
- A team-player attitude—you know great results rarely happen solo.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous work on large-scale commercial or specialty terrazzo projects.
- Openness to travel for projects (we sometimes work on standout jobs a bit farther from home).
- Creative input for custom mixes or pattern design.
Not sure you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Competitive pay that recognizes your expertise and skill level.
- Overtime opportunities for those extra-busy projects.
- Supportive team culture—where sharing techniques is just part of the job.
- Consistent work with a respected name in the industry.
- All necessary tools, safety gear, and high-quality materials provided.
- Opportunity to work on exceptional, portfolio-worthy sites.
- Real professional growth—your talents will be seen, rewarded, and developed.
If you take pride in surfaces that speak for themselves and want a role where every project brings new challenges and satisfaction, you’ll feel right at home here. We’re excited to meet experts who treat terrazzo work as both a science and an art—let’s craft something remarkable together.
